The Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC) acknowledges PhD students registered in any HEC-recognized university in Punjab. This research fellowship program allows students to conduct research in over 200 universities ranked by QS for a period of six months.

Requirements
- You must reside in Punjab.
- You must be over 45 years old.
- You must be registered in a public/private university in Punjab and have completed course work.
- A qualifying test must be passed.
- A PhD/short research proposal must be completed and approved by the BARS (Board of Advanced Studies and Research) or any other legal group from the university.
- A legal letter of acceptance for the research program from a foreign university is required (200 universities ranked by QS in 2023).
Benefits
- The highest stipend is up to PKR 250,000.
- Live allowance/salary-based.
- Travel expenses (up to PKR 130,000).
Application Process
- Students can apply online or in hard copy.
- After submitting an online application to PHEC.
- Print a hard copy of the complete application and submit it to the PHEC Lahore office.
- For a qualifying process, submit a complete application and rewrite the materials in English.
